Atlas™ I and Atlas™ II are integrated foundation-to-tracker solutions engineered through the combined expertise of ARRAY and APA Solar, an ARRAY company, to deliver a coordinated structural system from the ground up. Designed to address a wide range of site conditions, the Atlas™ product suite combines purpose-built foundations, simplified connections, and configured to accommodate above-ground wire management solutions, enabling innovative cable management while helping streamline field labor activities, along with field-adjustable architecture to reduce deformation risk, improve installation efficiency, and increase project flexibility.  

Whether projects require a driven-pile solution for favorable soils or a helical pile and ground screw solution for more challenging conditions, Atlas provides a shared engineered platform that helps lower project risk while supporting consistent tracker performance across the entire site.

ATLAS™ I

Atlas™ I is a two-component, foundation-to-tracker interface system featuring an adjustable vertical C-channel that connects the driven pile to an engineered bearing interface. By decoupling pile installation from final tracker alignment, the system helps enable greater field adjustability and improved installation precision. Jointly engineered by ARRAY and APA Solar, an ARRAY company, Atlas I is designed for solar developers, EPCs, and project owners working in standard, favorable soil conditions. 

ATLAS™ I

  • Two-Piece Foundation Architecture → Separates the driven foundation from the tracker interface, helping protect critical components during installation while improving long-term system integrity. 
  • Simplified Bearing Connection → Reduces the bearing housing connection from six bolts to four, helping streamline installation. 
  • Vertical Adjustability → Provides ±3" of adjustment to accommodate installation variation and maintain tracker alignment in the field. 
  • Foundation Flexibility → Available with Sigma pile or W-beam foundation options to support a range of project and site requirements. 

ATLAS™ II

AtlasII is engineered for challenging soil conditions. Built on APA’s proven A Frame® foundation technology and purpose-built for ARRAY tracker systems, it features a simplified, highly adjustable interface that reduces parts and connection points to help streamline construction. Integration with ARRAY tracker platforms and added vertical and east/west adjustability help accommodate varying terrain, while helical pile and ground screw foundation technologies provide a solution for a wide range of geotechnical conditions.

  • Helical Pile & Ground Screw Compatibility Supports deployment across challenging soil conditions, including rocky, frost-prone, soft, and high-water-table sites.  
  • Simplified Bearing Connection Reduces the bearing housing connection from six fasteners to two, helping to streamline installation. 
  • Innovated Tracker Interface Engineered with fewer components and connection points to improve installation efficiency and jobsite productivity.  
  • Vertical & East/West Adjustability  Provides greater flexibility to accommodate site variability and maintain tracker alignment across uneven terrain.  
  • Terrain-Following Capability Extends flexibility from the foundation through the tracker, enabling adaptation to complex site topography.

ATLAS Bearing Housing

Engineered bearing design improves load distribution and system performance, reducing stress on components and supporting long-term durability. Supports 52°, 60°, and  77° configurations.

ATLAS II

Built on proven A-Frame® 2.0 technology, this innovated design reduces parts, bolts, and connection points while minimizing field assembly time and eliminating the 90° side bracket.

SIGMA Pile

Pre-galvanized, roll-formed profile available in 9- or 11-gauge steel. Its shorter length and stiff edge profile enhance driving performance, helps reduce deformation risk, and deliver more reliable installation in sandy soils and lean clays.

W-BEAM

Ideal for high-corrosion environments, heavier tracker loads, and stiff soil or small cobbles.

Ground Screw

Ground screw foundations are ideal for sites with glacial till, cobble, hardpan and even solid bedrock. The heavy walled tube and welded connections allow for greater amounts of torque and pressure to be applied, helping the screw advance into even the toughest soils.

Helical Pile

Helical foundations are ideal for sites with soft soils, shallow bedrock, high water tables or sandy soils. Helical foundations create a cone effect that resists pullout forces at shallow depths.
